Last week I had the pleasure of facilitating an offsite residential for a newly formed International Exec Leadership Team, at Cambridge University’s Madingley Hall. This session was a bit different… and very uniquely my cup of tea. The brief from the new MD was simple - ‘we need to get to know each other first, so we can build the foundation for being an effective team’. His brief was specific. No vision, no strategy and no ‘future’ talk. No talk on business issues or goals. Only on understanding each other and how they help each other show up as their best - A focus on how to be human with each other. Because that’s what we are. We are ‘human-beings’…not ‘human-doings’. For me - it was my best. Uniquely tailoring and flexing all I have within my coach tool box to help them engage, jump in with both feet and get the results they wanted.
